Research interests & work-in-progress
My current research interests focus on welfare state reform, citizenship and restructuring relations between government and the voluntary sector; and arising from my long-standing research interest in the place of voluntary action in the Northern Ireland peace process, I am now looking at wider issues of ethnic diversity and social cohesion programmes. I also write on civic engagement and political change.
